Q: What is nVision?

A: nVision is the newest version of Finance Manager’s software suite, completely reengineered from the ground up using the latest Microsoft Technology (.NET Framework and SQL Database).

Q: Why is Finance Manager re-developing their software solution?

A: All software solutions must be redesigned periodically to ensure that they do not become outdated.  Staying current with industry standards will ensure that Finance Manager can continue to deliver richer and more powerful software solutions for many years to come.

Q: Will there be an upgrade fee for FM clients moving to nVision?

A: There will be NO fee to upgrade to the nVision platform; however, a licensed copy of Microsoft SQL Server 2008 - Standard Edition is required.  In addition, we suggest that you budget for 2-3 days of additional training.

Q: When will nVision be released?

A:  nVision will be released into Beta sites in 2011.

Q: When can we expect to be upgraded?

A: Following the Beta period, upgrades will be scheduled on a client-by-client basis during a mutually agreeable time for all parties.

Q: Do we have to upgrade to nVision?

A:  Yes, eventually everyone will need to upgrade to nVision.  We are confident that once you see how powerful and easy nVision is to use, you’ll want to upgrade too!

Q: How long will the current FM product be supported?

A: The FM product will continue to be supported for a minimum of 5 years after the official release of nVision.

Q: Will we need training for the modules we already use?

A:  Yes, training will be an important part of the nVision upgrade.  As with most upgrades, training will help users become familiar with all of the new product enhancements.
